Your roof isn't stained or just dirty.  It's covered with an algae called gloeocapsa magma, which covers over 75% of asphalt roofs.  Over time, algae, moss, lichen, fungi, mildew, and other organisms shorten the life of your roof by eating away the substrate (granules & fiber) of the shingles. Heavy moss buildup can even create moisture problems on structural roofing materials.  Proper maintenance, including cleaning, can prolong the life of your roof and improve your property value.  A cleaner, “newer” looking roof  is not only more aesthetically pleasing, but having shingles that will last the full 15 or 30 years means saving money by not having to replace the roof early. 

We clean all roofs with our soft wash system.  Soft-washing is a cleaning process that uses low pressure to deliver a customized cleaning solution.  We use a proven softwash solution comprised of a surfactant, sodium hypochlorite and water.  It differs from pressure washing in that the cleaning solution is applied at low pressure which will not harm or damage shingles.  Soft washing is the only recommended cleaning system by ARMA---the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association.
